Christmas Tree Garlic Bread

Garlic?! With bread?! Ooh you dirty animal

I bloomin’ love garlic bread, proper garlic bread, homemade with garlic butter – yum.  But you know what I like even more?  I like cheat garlic bread and this recipe is one of the easiest you’ll make 😊

You will need

Garlic puree

Ready made puff pastry

Dried oregano

Cheese

Steak sticks

Method

  • Allow your pastry to reach room temperature before you start to use it
  • Unroll the pastry and lay it horizontally in front of you
  • Spread an even layer of garlic puree over the pastry
  • Sprinkle with a little dried oregano
  • Cut it in half along the horizontal
  • Place one half on top of the other with the garlic sides together
  • Now along the horizontal again, cut strips about 1.5cm or 1/2 inch wide
  • ‘Thread’ the strips on to the sticks in a zig zag formation.  Be sure to leave a little gap between each bit and some space at the top for a star
  • Place on a lined oven tray and bake at 220 for 10-12 minutes. Keep a close eye on it but don’t keep opening the oven door
  • Once they’re puffed up and golden, remove from the oven amd allow to cool for a minute or two
  • Slice your cheese and cut into star shapes to add to the top of each tree

Serve immediately and wait for everyone to say how yummy they are 😊

I always try recipes a few times before sharing them ans these went down a treat at my house from their very first outing! They’re sure to become a favourite in your home too.

Love Rachel 🎄
